    Me: If you become an astronaut.

    Eddie: Can I become an astronaut?

    Me: You can become whatever you want to be.

    Eddie: I want to be a superhero.

    Me: What do you like about superheroes?

    Eddie: That their capes blow.

    • Welcome to Grateful Grateful. Like most blogs out there, this is just serving as a chronicle of our lives for anyone who may be interested. Sometimes our lives suck, but despite it all, we still have much to be grateful for.

    The characters

    • Em is me. I'm the wife and mom who works in internet usability.
    • Mark is the husband and dad who is a stage actor and musician who also waits tables.
    • Eddie is the big kid, born January 1, 2008. He has a minor genetic condition and PDD-NOS, but despite the frequent doctor and therapist appointments, he's a super cool kid.
    • Ben is the little kid, born October 11, 2012. At this point, he's pretty much your typical baby.
