Grateful Grateful Truly blessed and duly grateful

    About

As I mentioned in that handy "About this blog" box over on the right, this is just another standard mommy blog, chronicling the life of our kid Eddie and whatever bits of our life are interesting enough to mention.

I guess in some ways this could be classified as a "special needs blog," though I still don't quite know where Eddie falls on the normal/special spectrum. He has been diagnosed with partial 5p- Syndrome (or Atypical Cri du Chat) and, at least for the time being, PDD-NOS. Eddie sees a lot of doctors and several therapists. Our medical bills are high enough that we always hit our maximum out of pocket on the insurance we're fortunate enough to have. But in so many ways, Eddie is still a normal kid. So, do with that what you will.

I work in internet usability and information architecture. I also have rheumatoid arthritis, and may sometimes talk about that, too.

My husband, Mark, is a professional stage actor (and musician and musical director) in a city not well known for its theater. Of course, this means he also waits tables to help support our healthcare habit.

So, things are sometimes crazy, but we are so grateful for what is right in our lives.
