Fest Pictures
A couple of weeks ago, Mark and Eddie went to Mark's Family Fest in Deleware. I was kept apprised of the trip via texted photos. Here they are.
- Daddy saying “Smile for Mommy” in the car on the way up
- Hanging out with Super Why in the hotel bed
- Pancakes!
- Hamburger!
- Pink ice cream!
- Daddy asking me if the bed was too tall for Eddie
- Cousin W, Eddie, and cousin S in a tub
- Swinging with Pop
- Raisin Bran!
- In the pool with cousin Matt
- Drinking from the hose
- Popsicle!
- Exhausted after Fest day
- And still exhausted the next morning
- Playing dress up with the girl cousins
- Reading a story with Uncle Jim and Cousin S
- Blowing bubbles in the hotel on the return trip
- Taking care of the luggage
Pictures! Again!
It's been awhile since I blogged again. The short reason (excuse?) is that RA sucks. I'm amazed at how much worse the RA is compared to just a year ago. Things that wouldn't have given me pause then are nearly impossible now.
Oh well. Pictures!

I recently noticed that none of the old photos (from the pre-Grateful Grateful days) are showing up. I know why, but who knows when I'll get around to fixing the problem.
Still here…
... keeping busy. All is well.
I feel guilty for not blogging, but I'm too tired to blog really blog. So, a few highlights:
Eddie went to visit my family in Illinois with my mom. I joined them after a few days.
Eddie had his eye surgery yesterday. It went fine, for the most part. He still doesn't like waking up from anesthesia.
Really, that's all I've got. Maybe I'll post pictures from the Illinois trip some day soon.
Just in time for Mother’s Day…
Easter photos!
First came the dying of the eggs at Nonna and Grandpa's house on Friday night:
Then, on Saturday morning, we went with Elise and her mom to make Easter cookies at Whole Foods:
Saturday night was Mommy-Kid date night. We went to our favorite place in Atlanta for a movie:
Then, Sunday. The big day:
Eye doctor follow up
Not only is the right tear duct still clogged despite last year's surgery, but the left one is now clogged, too.
The next step is surgery to enter tubes into both tear ducts to make them larger. After 6 months, the tubes are taken back out and we cross our fingers that it worked. The surgery they did last year has a 90% success rate. Of the 10% that go on to the tube surgery, 90% of them remain symptom free. The other 10% go on to the next surgery, where they rebuild the tear duct system. We're hoping we don't have to go there.
Surgery probably won't be scheduled until next week, but there we are.
